This type of skin disease can be infected with children and adolescents, but it often affects adults.
  • Psoriasis types

    There are several types of psoriasis, people may get one or two types together, or their type may change and may develop into another more intense type, and these types include the following

  • Cortical psoriasis: It is the most common types of psoriasis, and causes the appearance of thin, dry and red layers of the skin, which is covered with silver scales, the spots usually develop in the same way and tend to appear on the scalp, trunk and ends, especially the elbows and knees.
  • Psoriasis: This type often affects young people and children, often irritates a bacterial infection (such as: sophisticated bacterial infection that affects the throat), and appears in the area of ​​the trunk and limbs.
  • Psoriasis: This type of bubbles is made up of pus (pimples) on the surface of the skin, and appear in various forms in different areas of the body, and this type usually affects hands and feet, and these pimples can crack, causing painful cracks in the skin.
  • Reverse psoriasis: It appears in the form of large and red spots in the skin, and is found in the areas of the folds with the skin (such as: the armpits, the thighs, under the breast), and the condition increases worse with friction and sweating.
  • Radded psoriasis (rare): It is characterized by the redness of peeled skin in most parts of the body, and it can occur due to sunburn or some medications (such as: corticosteroids), often evolving in people with a different type of psoriasis that cannot be controlled, and can be dangerous.
  • Nail psoriasis: Some people with psoriasis suffer from nail problems, which appear in the form of a small fossa or scratch on the surface of the nails. Nails may take a dark brown color or may be separated from the nail base.
  • Psoriasis arthritis: Some people who suffer from psoriasis are infected with a type of arthritis, as these infections often appear in the form of pain, swelling and hardening in the joint, especially fingers joints, or an ankle pain.

    Symptoms of psoriasis differ from person to person, but there are some common symptoms

  • The appearance of a thick red layer of the skin covered with a silver -colored shell, and itching may cause elbows, knees, scalp, stem and the soles of the feet.
  • Thick and winding nails can be seen.
  • Dryness and cracking in the affected skin, causing itching or bleeding.
  • Some patients suffer from "psoriasis arthritis", and its patients are characterized by stiff, swollen and painful joints.

  • Prevention

  • Reducing and controlling psychological stress.
  • Avoid irritants (such as: stress, cold weather, skin injuries, some medications, and infections).

  • Comb the hair with a gentle comb, and avoid scalp or scrape.
  • Be careful when using hairdressing devices, ensure that they do not touch them for the scalp, and reduce the number of times to use.
  • Avoid tightening hair very tightly; To prevent irritation of the scalp, as this can also cause hair loss over time
