"Intentional targeting"
The United Nations Human Rights Office in the Palestinian territories called on the Israeli forces to immediately stop all attacks against Palestinians who are trying to provide security for humanitarian aid caravans and other supplies.
A statement issued by the United Nations called on Friday, "The Israeli forces should comply with their obligations under international law to facilitate and protect the delivery of humanitarian aid and other life necessities for the Gaza Strip and within it."
He said that these attacks "contributed greatly to the spread of famine among civilians in Gaza."
The statement spoke about the documentation of 11 incidents of attacks on Palestinians during their work to secure protection for convoys in the north and central Gaza, since the beginning of August.
He said that the incidents resulted in "the killing of at least 46 Palestinians, most of them security personnel accompanying aid and supplies caravans, along with some of the assistants and injury of others."
The Human Rights Office pointed out that "these attacks are part of a frequent pattern, indicating (intentional targeting) by the Israeli forces of those who are supposed to be civilians and participate in securing life necessities. This comes in the context of a similar pattern of attacks on civil law implementation agencies."
The Human Rights Office stated that since the beginning of the war, he documented dozens of incidents in which Israeli forces targeted "illegally civil police who did not participate in hostilities, which contributed to the collapse of public order on supplies convoys, in light of the increasing despair of the population from obtaining food in the face of (worsening starvation)," according to the United Nations statement.
For its part, 31 Arab and Islamic countries issued a joint statement, in which it condemned what it described as the policy of "systematic starvation", and condemned the statements of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on "Greater Israel".
The joint statement issued by the foreign ministries condemned the approval of the Israeli minister in Salail Smotrich on the settlement plan in the E1 region.
The statement announced that the states asserted "the rejection and condemnation of the crimes of the Israeli aggression, the genocide and the ethnic cleansing, and the emphasis on the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, while ensuring the unconditional access of humanitarian aid to stop the policy of systematic starvation that Israel uses as a collective genocide ... and an immediate end to the Israeli blockade ...", according to what was stated in the statement.
