  • Symptoms

  • The occurrence of weakness in the immune system, such as the one that occurs when exposed to chemotherapy or radiation, or immune diseases such as AIDS and others.



    Complications

    In most cases, it passes through its course without any permanent health problems, however the condition can be accompanied by complications

  • Severe pain for more than three months, even after pimples disappeared.
  • Visual loss.
  • Mens and brain.
  • Bacterial skin infections.
  • The occurrence of scars and changes in the color of the skin for a long time after its disappearance.
  • Treatment

    The "fire belt" treatment usually includes a group of medications that reduce symptoms and reduce the risk of complications such as

  • Antiviral drugs: antiviral drugs prevent the proliferation of the virus, and help to heal the rash more quickly, as well as reduce the severity and duration of the pain, especially when they start using it within 72 hours after the appearance of the rash.
  • Pain analgesics, because the pain can be severe, and strong analgesics are often needed.
  • Antibiotics, which are used when a secondary bacterial infection occurs on the rash.
  • Prevention

    Prevention is to take the vaccine, which is given in the form of two doses for the following groups

  • The 18 -year -old and more when you have an immune disease, or for those who take immunosuppressive medications such as chemotherapy.

  • Keep the rash clean and dry to reduce the risk of infection.
  • Avoid sharing clothes.

  • Wear loose clothes made of natural fibers.
